Exclusive Services

JCTE Arts Foundation brings theatre, storytelling, and creative expression into schools and communities across the Bronx, Westchester, and beyond. We use the arts to develop confident communicators, creative thinkers, collaborative leaders, and lifelong learners. When a school partners with us, they are investing in student growth, not just a musical.

School Partnerships

Professional development opportunities, residency programs, assemblies, and arts integration initiatives are thoughtfully crafted to align with your school’s specific goals and objectives. These tailored experiences aim to enhance teaching practices, enrich student engagement, and foster a deeper understanding of the arts within the educational framework. Through collaboration with educators, we ensure that each program is designed to meet the unique needs of your school community, ultimately supporting the overall mission of enhancing learning outcomes and student success.

Leadership Development

Public speaking, confidence, and creative collaboration are skills that benefit students long after they take their final bow. This service also extends to classroom overseers—the faculty. We aid in the development of classroom management strategies for both new teachers and seasoned professionals.

Literacy Programs

Our literacy programs encompass a diverse array of offerings designed to inspire and engage participants. These include captivating spoken word sessions that encourage self-expression, poetry workshops that explore the art of verse and rhythm, and creative writing workshops that foster imagination and storytelling skills. Each program aims to enrich the participants' literacy skills while nurturing their creative voices.

4

Arts Integration

This service provides educators with innovative strategies for incorporating the arts into their classroom curriculum. By utilizing a comprehensive framework, it has been shown to significantly improve knowledge retention, particularly for neurodivergent students who may benefit from diverse and creative learning modalities. This approach not only enriches the educational experience but also fosters an inclusive environment where all learners can thrive.

After School and Summer Programs

Our after-school and summer programs provide students with a consistent, structured space to continue creating outside the regular school day. Sessions build skills in theatre, storytelling, and creative expression through a mix of workshops, rehearsals, and hands-on projects, all led by our teaching artists. Students return week after week, so the growth compounds: shy students become confident speakers, and first-time performers become returning cast members. Our summer sessions go deeper still, giving students extended time to build a project from the ground up and see it through to a finished performance or piece of work.
